Eva Bodfäldt - 24 years as a dog consultant
I am a dog consultant specialized in learning psychology and the interplay dog-man. I received my education as dog psychologist in 1980-82 from Anders Hallgren at Stora Sofielunds Hundskola. I have also learnt operant conditioning from Marian and Bob Bailey, one of the great luminaries in this field in the United States.
Following my education I started my own business where I conduct courses for dog owners on all levels, from people who have acquired their first dog to experienced competitors and dog owners with specific aims and directions or problems. My motto is Empathy-Friendship-Responsibility. During the season 2002-03 I celebrated my 20-years jubilee as dog consultant.
I furthermore conduct courses and give lectures for dogs clubs and associations all over Sweden and in the Nordic countries. The Swedish Working Dogs Club, regional clubs within the Swedish Kennel Club, the Swedish Spaniel and Retriever Club and the Swedish Poodle Club are some of the associations that have engaged me during the last few years. I also conduct further training for instructors, among others those in the Swedish Working Dogs Club.
Among my own competition prizes are three obedience championships, one working dogs championship in tracking and two participations in Swedish Championships in obedience. I have furthermore trained one of my earlier dogs as a rescuing dog.
